OUR HISTORY
Academy Builders was founded by two lifelong builders with complementary skill sets and a shared belief that exceptional residential construction requires both craftsmanship and structure.
From the beginning, the company was built to be different: fewer projects, deeper involvement, and complete accountability from concept through completion. What started as a small, hands-on operation has grown into a vertically integrated construction firm with an in-house custom cabinetry and millwork division, multiple specialized field crews, and a refined project management system.
As the company expanded, Academy Builders remained focused on controlled growth—investing in people, systems, and facilities to ensure quality never outpaced capacity. Today, the firm operates out of a dedicated shop facility and manages multiple complex renovations simultaneously while maintaining a boutique level of service.
We specialize in renovating older homes and believe the best work honors original design intent while upgrading performance, functionality, and comfort. By selecting premium hardwoods and employing traditional joinery, custom millwork offers a level of durability and aesthetic precision that simply cannot be replicated by standard construction.
RESPECT FOR ARCHITECHTURE
Custom millwork is the hallmark of a home that prioritizes architectural integrity over mass-produced convenience. Unlike off-the-shelf options, custom trim and moldings are scaled specifically to a room’s proportions, utilizing deeper profiles and tighter miter joints that create a seamless, sculptural transition between surfaces. When integrated with bespoke built-ins, this craftsmanship transforms dead space into functional art; think library shelving or banquet seating that feels "grown" from the walls rather than pushed against them.
WORK WITH US
Your home should be a reflection of your lifestyle, not just a place where you keep your things. Whether you’re dreaming of a chef-inspired kitchen, a spa-like master suite, or a complete home addition, we’re here to bridge the gap between "what if" and "welcome home."
